Share the Good Stuff!

Used to be when I opened up my FB account I would brace myself for the barrage of negativity, politics, blame, shame, and drama. I had hundreds of friends, and friends of friends, and acquaintances of friends – oh the list was long. Funny how that seemed like it meant something at one time. Oh how I make myself laugh sometimes. And I tried to keep up with what they said and respond and influence. I wasn’t about pushing all that stuff out but I sure did take it in. And I found that it was hurting my heart to do so. That was several years ago. That was not sustainable (thank goodness!)

Today, when I go to that space of cyber connection I go with a smile. What changed you say? I DID! Once I woke up to the idea that I did not have to see what others see, post what others post, spread what others share, or keep the connections I’d made just because I had them in this pretend world we call the internet … I took back control.  Just like I have in my “real life”. I changed the way I interface with people on the internet. I now eliminate the negative – actively and deliberately.

I have shifted from the position of taking it all in, to now only doing selective, “boutique” shopping on my FB connections. I only go for the high-end, quality stuff now. I decided that if I am going to trade precious moments of my life, I better make it worth trading for. So I go where the joy is – if it makes me smile, feel good, invokes inspiration, calls me to positive action, or uplifts others then I’m in. With that decision, miraculously another universal principle started to creep in – what you seek is what you find. I went searching for positive pages to join or follow. I started paying attention to the energy of the people I connect with and with blessings I let many of them go. I started adding to the mix with my own positive messages of joy, kindness, inspiration and love. I use my book’s FB page – Mighty Inspiration for the sole purpose of sending out positive messages. And I created a group – Gifts of Gratitude with the intention of celebrating with each other that which blesses our lives. I have seen that when we share our blessings, they multiply and spread. Who knows, I may create more in the future. What I do know for sure – it has made all the difference!

I am always open for more positivity and more love to flow into my life.  Do you have a favorite page, link, message of positive connectivity you’d like to share? Share the good stuff and be blessed!

Wisdom of the heart …

It isn’t the wisdom of our minds that draws people closer … it is the wisdom of our hearts.

You see, mental wisdom can be gained completely without connection – we can attain it through books and research. Facts, figures, and data are good and useful things. It helps us to understand, build, and develop the outer world around us. It is the knowledge of things.

However, the wisdom of the heart can only be attained by drawing near to each other. It takes connection and willingness to receive of the insights of another soul. It is the stuff that holds life, and lives together on this journey through time and space. We are not here by happenstance. We are here with a purpose, connected in proximity and timing to particular souls for a reason. Connecting on the level of our heart wisdom allows us to glimpse into that purpose. We see the value and gifts of another and how they intertwine and compliment our own. Connecting through heart wisdom actually changes the world within – it expands and evolves  life. It creates divine connections. It creates inner change. It grows and fosters love, which is the true essence of who we are. It is heart wisdom that energetically shifts the world because it is the knowledge of the soul. It is this wisdom that I cherish.

Share your heart’s wisdom and be blessed!

Consciousness of Connection

I’ve been doing much thinking and reading about human consciousness lately. My awareness is expanding as is my intuitive understanding. I find myself doing less “longing” to connect and realizing more and more that we already are connected. We are connected by heart, by thought, by trends, by beliefs, by experience, and by design.

It is in connecting to others that we find our unique gifts and blessings meant to share. It is in seeing what others bring to the game of life that I become more and more aware of how I can help them, and they in turn help me. It may seem that we are all walking around with our own existence, and as some say, starring in our own life movie. But in reality, it’s just one movie. We share some scenes. We share the spotlight but it’s all meant to bring each and every one of us closer together. And … closer to Divinity – by whatever name you use to define God.

I invite you to share your gifts more freely. Show the world the mighty gift you carry inside your heart. I invite you to partake more fully in the exchange of energy and love. I cheer you on as you change your corner of the world and acknowledge that you also change my corner of the world, because together we make a difference to each other.

Blessing and love to you my fellow wanderers!

My Soul Stirs – original poem

Binary-Star-2-PhotoMY SOUL STIRS

Standing in the middle of movement, the twirling, swirling world moves around me.

With no warning. No clue. No signal.

Action fades into a standstill.

I caught a glance and my soul stirs.

I am suddenly and excitedly alive.

With every breath of air the goosebumps rise.

A green and vibrant vision appears.

Angels voices arise mingling with your words.

I see a new dimension where energy abounds.

With each moment, each hour, each revelation the connection is cementing.

I did not know the revelation was on the horizon.

Taken aback and yet surging full speed into possibility.

Oneness. Power. Collaboration.

I do what I know and it grows.

You do what you know and it explodes.

Healing and the healer emerging in a breath.

Souls embracing remembered power.

I see you more clearly.

Nothing will be the same.

And my soul shivers.

Conquer with Love – original poem

Fire-Love-Images-Background-HD-WallpaperWhen evil seers a hole into the fabric of our lives,

It does not account for the power of light and love

To enter through that ragged wound.

What hate cuts and scratches to destroy,

Kindness and generosity stitches back a stronger whole.

There is no place that darkness can hide

For it is your light that can illuminate all.

Fear would cause us to shrink back and not live as we design,

But strength of connection creates bravery to step out.

Let us not fight with anger but rather conquer with love.

We are in control – not of what happens to us

But of who we reach out to for help and for comfort.

We can overcome the hatred in this world

If we but make a greater counter play of love.

Hate not, but forgive.

Shrink not, but join.

Revenge not, but console.

Let us seek to heal the defeated before they turn cold and bitter.

Let us defeat the hatred that seeks to create more haters.

Let us be love, do love, speak love and seek love.

Season of Beauty – original poem

It isn’t the twinkle of lights in the city that brighten the holiday season,

It is the smiles and gestures of charity from you that give the days their meaning.

It isn’t the songs that bring out the joy on the lips of all the people,

It is the words of kindness that you are spreading that creates a joyful ripple.

It isn’t the food, cookies, or nog warming the hearths of the homes,

But rather the touch of a friend, or a hug that shows them they’re not alone.

It isn’t shoppers who bustle about, that create the atmosphere and energy,

It is the quiet connection of hearts and giving that melts the frost in the air.

I have a part, and you have a part, in bringing the season to life.

It is our union of spirit and not our religions that actually fuels the light.

It is the love in our hearts that we’re willing to share that creates a sense of community.

Believe you can spread the light and the love and we’ll all have a season of beauty.

A Victorian Christmas Carol, Thomas Kinkade

Purpose of Life

I was in a conversation today at work with an outside speaker who came to our women’s network event. She was there to speak about achieving peak performance and she had a lot of wonderful information to share. In that conversation we talked about people judging themselves and “beating themselves up.” There’s no upside to that behavior and we all recognize it. That conversation then led to declaring what we think life is about.

Here’s my take –  I believe there are 4 purposes to life:

1) Learn – We have endless opportunities to learn throughout our lives. Whether it is formal training and education or learning how to use our personal power to improve the world. This earthly experience is uniquely designed for us to learn.

2) Teach – When we learn and then turn and teach we pass on the gifts that we have received. That is a wonderful thing. But an even bigger benefit is that we help empower others to do the same. It’s a chain reaction that has the power to change the world.

3) Create – Being created in the image of God includes his power to create as well. As humans, this is what really separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom. We create possibilities with our minds, we create reality with our hands, we create life with our bodies, and we create connections with our words.

4) Love – Giving and receiving true and unconditional love puts us in touch with our divine spirit. It is the ultimate purpose in life. It is our supreme achievement.

What do you think is the purpose of life? Be blessed!
